The purpose of the “Black Play Therapy Symposium: Healing Trauma Through Cultural Roots” is to provide a culturally responsive platform for mental health professionals and educators to explore the transformative potential of play therapy in addressing trauma within Black communities. The symposium’s schedule is thoughtfully designed to empower mental health professionals and educators with the knowledge, tools, and cultural sensitivity necessary to employ cultural humility, foster resilience, improve mental health outcomes, and promote holistic well-being for Black individuals and families.
